Strong commitments so far from the following programs: YMCA Earth Service Corps, Street Soldiers, Horn of Africa,and Pongo Publishing. I belive that Mayors Youth Council will also jump on board. The connections will happen as we keep moving along. The youth in the program will also be a great resource. Peer to Peer recruitment is our best bet. The list above looks great and we can begin to tackle top priorities in 2008. The Y also has a VISTA Volunteer coming on board next week. 30%-40% of her time will be allocated to our technology programs. She'll be a great resource to help out with some of this stuff as well. Perhaps a Becoming Citizens intern from the Communication department could head up some of these activities at the YMCA? There is also the possibility of having Becoming Citizens interns host short workshops at youth organizations as an additional form of marketing in the spring if we decide to pursue that route.
